Mark's Slog

So what's a slog? A Slacker's Blog? Or as far as this page, it more likely aspire to be truer to the noun meaning of slog from Merriam-Webster OnLine Dictionary.

In fact, I just hate the term blog, and so I thought I'd write an anti-blog, called a a slog. And a few minutes before I sat down to write this, I had some pretty good ideas to put here, but now they've dissapeared. So until I remember my brilliant ideas, here's some not so brilliant ideas:

• A new voice mail system that comes with the following opening menu, pre-recorded, to save set-up time:

  You call is important to us. Please listen carefully as our menus have changed.

• Finally a fair end to the toilet seat controversy: Should the seat be left down or up? To believe the sit-coms, men generally leave the seat up, and women prefer the seat down, to avoid taking a sitz bath. My solution: Everyone leave the seat down, and the lid down! This way, men and women are equal in effort; they both lift to use (men lift the seat and lid most of the time, and women always lift just the lid), and lower both seat and lid when done.
• Start a list of funny television Closed Captioning errors, such as:

  Caption	Actual Dialog
  [Insert caption text here]	(Seen this on several occasions)
  tax eve vacation	tax evasion

  What would be better would be a Wiki for this; so here's my lame attempt at one: CC Wiki.
